New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Wednesday said one of its subsidiaries, Diligenta, has won a contract worth over $200 million to support business process outsourcing (BPO) services for Canada-based Sun Life Financial. "The services, expected to commence in May 2008, are estimated to be worth 100 million pounds (about $200 million) over the life of the contract," the IT major said in a statement. Diligenta had been working with Sun Life Financial UK as a preferred supplier of outsourcing services since October 2007, following a competitive tender, which came towards the end of an existing agreement. "Diligenta will continue to run the operation in Basingstoke where SLF UK's Head Office is based," the statement added. A.S. Lakshminarayanan, the company's vice president and country head for Britain, said: "With the Sun Life Financial deal, Diligenta is moving into the second phase of its history, expanding its client base and the UK market share." Dillgenta is a Britain-based subsidiary of the Tata Consultancy Services. Since 2006, it has provided outsourcing services for the Pearl Group under a 12-year, 486 million pound contract.
