BANGALORE: India’s rapid back-end work has made it an attractive partner for Taiwanese firms. Its proximity to the European market and large domestic market has evinced Taiwan’s interest in the country’s software industry. India’s vast domestics market, qualified engineers and Taiwan’s expertise in global logistics deployment, flexible manufacturing, sales and marketing, can together create an innovative corporate partnership, said Mr. Christopher Liu, President, Taiwan Kolin Co. In the summit on Monday, organized by Manufacturer’s Association for Information Technology (MAIT), India was projected as a competent destination for hardware manufacturing and design and software services, while the Taiwan delegation was more keen on software services and ‘cost competitive’ software talent. While the delegation unanimously opined the manufacturing to take a few more years, the Chung hua Institute for Economic Research was looking for talent to work in Taiwan.
