Sybase inaugurates Global Sybase Professional Services Centre in Pune

Bangalore: Sybase, the leading provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, today announced the inauguration of Global Sybase Professional Services (SPS) Center at Pune. The facility was inaugurated by Tony Morrison, Vice President, Sybase Professional Services, Sybase.

With an aim to reinforce its focus on the Indian market, SPS will provide services to its customers from out-tasking to outsourcing. It will offer a comprehensive portfolio of onsite and offshore managed IT Services to help its customers optimize global talent availability and to curtail on their overall costs.

"Our entire service portfolio provides access to an exceptional knowledge base and is backed by our commitment to ensure customer success with Sybase products", said, Morrison. "With the commitment to the Indian market, both as a market and as a resource base, Sybase is significantly spreading its wings in the western region. Through SPS, Sybase reiterates its presence in the Indian subcontinent by building business value to its customers", he added.

The 52 member team at the center has an edge over various Sybase products like Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), Sybase Replication server, Sybase IQ, PowerBuilder, Workspace and EA Server among others. Besides the IT set-up services, the center also proffers consulting and education services for its customers in India.

Sybase Professional Services include consulting services which help with the installation and configuration of Sybase's products are juxtaposed with education services to help create a simplified IT world around themselves. Educational services offer specialized classes on Sybase's cutting edge technologies imparted by experienced instructors. These instructors with their expertise are skilled to create architectures, perform high availability assessments, troubleshoot and deliver a performance & tuning engagement to ensure impeccable performance out of a Sybase implementation.

Talking about the Sybase India's expansion plans, Nagendra Devariya Arkalgud, Director, SPS, said, "SPS plans to increase its staff in Pune to 100 by Quarter 3 next year. It also plans to provide services like monitoring, maintaining, tuning and managing production environments of a number of our customers worldwide through Remote Enterprise Management Outsourcing (REMO) and Application Development & Maintenance Outsourcing (ADMO)".
