Kolkata: German renewable energy systems provider SunTechnics hopes to generate 600 million in revenues from the company's India operations in 2007-08 against 150 million in the last fiscal. "We are targeting to achieve Rs 600 million of revenue in the current financial year. The growing requirement of photo-voltaic cells, used for oil and telecom sector, will help to give a boost to our business in India," SunTechnics managing director (Asia Pacific) Stefan Mueller told reporters here Monday. He said the Indian government is also maintaining a very pro-active stance regarding the use of renewable energy in the country. "We are investing 300 million for capacity expansion of our existing units in Bangalore in the current year. Presently the company manufactures renewable systems for solar and biogas energy. But now we are mulling to manufacture equipment for hydro and wind energy too," Mueller said.
