Subex's operating profit grows 150 percent over FY09 Q2

Bangalore: Subex, a provider of Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) for communications service providers, has announced that it has recorded a revenue of 1,606.8 million (U.S. $ 35.6 million), with a product revenue of 1,279 million (US $ 28.3), for the quarter ended 31 December 2009. Revenue for the corresponding quarter last year was 1,422.2 million (US $ 31.5 million) with product revenue at 1,112.5 million (US $ 24.7 million). The company made an operating profit of 240 million as against an operating loss of 50 million in the corresponding quarter of FY08. Commenting on the business, Subash Menon, Founder Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, said, "The Company has overcome the problems it had faced over the past few quarters. This improvement is seen in the operating profit recorded ( 240 million) in the current quarter. As indicated by the EBITDA of 24 percent in the products business, the company is clearly back on track for stellar performance in the quarters to come," Menon added.
