Subex buys Alcatel fraud management unit

BANGALORE: Indian software maker Subex Systems Ltd said on Tuesday it has bought the fraud management unit of French telecoms firm Alcatel for $3 million, giving it access to several leading European telecoms customers.
"This acquisition adds 30 new clients to Subex's roster of 39 clients and gives Subex the number one position in the global telecom fraud management space," it said in a statement.

Bangalore-based Subex makes software products that help telecom service firms verify bills and check for fraud.
