Sterlite Industries net profit dips 42 percent

Mumbai: Vedanta group firm Sterlite Industries Wednesday reported a 42 percent fall in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 to 
672.6 crore as against 1,151 crore in the like period last year.
The total income fell 19 percent to 4,957.1 crore from 6,172.5 crore, the company said in a statement.
On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of 112.7 crore during the quarter as against 357.9 crore a year ago, posting a dip of 68 percent.
