Sonata opens arm in Germany

MUMBAI: IT company Sonata Software has set up a subsidiary in Germany to consolidate its presence in the European Union and cater to the rapidly growing market in West Europe. "Our long-term strategy is to establish a local presence in all the key markets. The German subsidiary will go a long way in reinforcing our commitment to existing customers and help us serve new clients faster and better," the company informed the National Stock Exchange here on Tuesday. B Ramaswamy, president and managing director of Sonata, said Europe holds significant promise for business and with significant benefits in the coming years. With the establishment of subsidiary in Frankfurt, Sonata's worldwide presence goes up to 12 and includes footprint in three locations in Europe, it added.
