Society of Chemical Industry honours Raj L. Gupta

Raj L. Gupta, Chairman, President and CEO of Rohm and Haas Company [NYSE: ROH] will be honoured the chemical industry’s prestigious medal- 2007 Chemical Industry Medal. The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI), America, will confer the award to Gupta in New York City on March 8th.

The award recognises the contributions made towards the chemical industry annually.

The SCI consists of the leaders of the chemical industry and most of them work amongst the highest ranks in their respective companies. Raj L. Gupta is also recognised for his commitment towards the global industry. He has transformed Rohm and Haas as a global powerhouse that generates revenue worth $8 billion per year. According to him, people across the world have the same demand. They need equal opportunity to show their talents.

The American Section is awarding the Chemical Industry Medal since 1933. Established in 1881, SCI has more than 70 countries as its members.
