Servion acquires 5by5

CHENNAI: Chennai-based Csutomer Interaction Management company Servion Global Solutions has recently acquired California-based 5by5, Networks Inc, a privately held technology company, a top executive of Servion said today.

The California-based company had developed next-generation contact center technologies by harnessing the power of technologies like Internet Protocol (IP) and SIP for managing and routing telephone calls, e-mails, faxes, SMS and chat, K Balakrishnan, Managing Director and CEO, Servion said.

5by5 had till date invested $21 million in research and development. Once incorporated into Servion’s core contact center software suite, this innovative peer-to-peer technology will allow enterprises to seamlessly scale their contact centers to span multiple sites across the globe.

Refusing the disclose the details of the consideration for the acquisition, which took place a week ago, Balakrishnan said Servion acquired 5by5 for the technology, which will enable it to introduce more new products, besides getting more revenue, in the coming years.
