Satyam GM kidnapped in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The General Manager of Satyam Computer Services Satya Vedula was abducted Tuesday, July 24 from the Bhopalpuram area of Secunderabad.

Vedula, who is working in the insurance vertical, was picked up by unknown persons while he went to drop his child to school in the morning. Vedula's wife lodged a complaint with the police after she could not trace him in the school.

This is the second instance of a kidnapping in the IT sector. The son (then 3 years old) of the MD of Adobe India was kidnapped by two motorcycle-borne youths in Sector 15, Noida, last November.
