Mangalore: Even as the world is wailing about the deepening recession and the resultant job cuts, Mysore based Software Paradigms Infotech (SPI) is planning to open a new IT Development and BPO center in Mangalore and employ up to 200 resources in the field of IT and ITeS during the first year of operation. An IT and BPO player, SPI will be setting foot in Mangalore by starting operations in the incubation center provided by STPI.

"In these difficult economic times, this center provides a great morale boost to SPI and the entire IT and ITeS industry in Karnataka. SPI will bring a very capable leadership team and many skilled resources to this center creating a very attractive working environment for our Mangalore center. We have a tremendous new business pipeline driving our need to hire hundreds of new employees for our Medical Transcription, BPO and ITO businesses. We look forward to a bright future in Mangalore," said, Sid Mookerji, CEO & MD.

Started in 1997, SPI is the first 100 percent export-oriented unit in Mysore providing services to global clients in IT Outsourcing and Business Process Outsourcing, including Medical Transcription (MT) and Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO).

SPI has been twice awarded by the Karnataka government for excellence in exports. In May 2008, the company was named one of the 50 Fastest-Growing Asian American Businesses in the U.S by the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC-EF). In October 2008, SPI's parent company, Software Paradigms International, was named one of Atlanta Georgia's 10 Fastest Growing companies by the Atlanta Business Magazine.

The wholly owned Mysore based subsidiary of Software Paradigms International Group, SPI provides all of the India based outsourcing services for the SPI client base.

3: It is good to hear that SPI is opening a development center in Mangalore. The setup was in Mysore, why they want to open in Mangalore, why not in Bangalore?

Great to see SPI Mysore expnading its operation in Mangalore.I feel its good move to opt for exapnsion of operations in Tier II cities is for cost reduction, un explored good talent avalibilty, less attration & inaddtion the good support from Govt agencies ,chamber of commerce & other offices concerned for devleopment of It/ITes Industry in the region. It is very improtant to see that SPI operating in Tier II cities ,has choosen again onemore Tier II city like Mangalore.I wish them best of luck & great sucess in their endovours in Mnlgr & Hope to see SPI exapnding operation in other tier II cities of Karnataka Hubli,Belgaum & Gulburga.STPI nice state of art infrastructure of Incubation centre in Mangalore,Hubli& Bangalore for encouraging & assit the SME ,startup compnies in the filed of IT/ITEs.
