LISBON: Jim Goodnight, CEO of SAS, has been named to the World Economic Forum's India Steering Committee. The committee identifies key issues and themes for the annual India Economic Summit of the World Economic Forum and Confederation of Indian Industry. In addition, Goodnight will again serve as a summit co-chair this year, as he did in 2004. The 2005 India Economic Summit will be held November 27-29 in New Delhi. The announcement of Goodnight's appointment to the committee was made today at SAS Forum International, the company's premier international event for enterprise intelligence, held June 21-23 in Lisbon. "India has become a key player in the global economy, and the summit is an important opportunity to discuss current issues facing the country and to plan for the future," said Goodnight. "I'm pleased to be able to help shape the summit's program and to share ideas with so many others who have serious interest in India's further economic growth and success."
