Rolta acquires U.S. based TUSC for $45 Mn

Mumbai: Mumbai based IT services firm, Rolta has acquired U.S. based software services firm TUSC for $45 million (about Rs 180 crore). TUSC specializes in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications as well as database and business intelligence solutions based on Oracle technologies. The company will add the acquisition to its earning in the current financial year ending in June 2008, company sources informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). last day, the shares of the company recorded a gain of 12 percent on the BSE. TUSC established in the year 1988, has served over 2,000 customers in various areas like utilities, energy, engineering, manufacturing, finance, insurance and retail among others. Its revenue in 2007 was in excess of $48 million, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 30 percent over the last four years. As a part of its growth plans, the company has adopted a strategy of acquiring companies that provide a synergy of technology and intellectual property rights (IPR), enabling it to move up the value chain for addressing complementary markets, added sources.
