Reliance to roll out broadband initiatives

MUMBAI: Reliance Infocomm Ltd is to roll out its broadband initiative in next 12-24 months in the country and is scouting for partners for digital distribution of the content. "We are in the intensive testing process and in the preliminary stage, we expect to provide connectivity to over 3,000 to 4,500 homes over our existing optical fibre network," Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani said at the FRAMES seminar on Wednesday. The alpha and beta tests for the same have also been completed, he added.
