Reliance Gas awards 4.98 billion contract to Punj Lloyd

New Delhi: Mukesh Ambani-promoted Reliance Gas Transportation and Infrastructure Limited (RGTIL) Friday awarded a 4.98 billion contract to engineering major Punj Lloyd for laying the pipelines for RGTIL's east-west pipeline project. As per the contract, Punj Lloyd would be laying pipelines and other associated facilities such as compressor stations, tap-off stations and river crossings. The work would be split into four divisions spread over Gujarat and Maharashtra. Punj Lloyd is reportedly the second largest engineering and construction company in India providing integrated design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for energy and infrastructure sector projects. Its operations are spread across many regions in the Middle East, Caspian, Asia Pacific, Africa and South Asia
