MUMBAI: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) managing Director and CEO, S. Ramadorai has been named the sixth most influential person in the IT sector by the global IT magazine, Computer Business Review. Ramadorai ranks one down below Oracles Larry Ellison and has outshone Alfred Chuang and Kevin Rolls.
Magazine officials stated that, What led us to put him at number six is his firms winning of one of the UKs largest ever business process outsourcing (BPO) deals, a $848 million, 12-year-contract from UKs Pearl Group. It is also the largest manpower transfer deal undertaken by any Indian IT company.
His efforts in making TCS one of the largest global software and services company with an annual revenue of $2 billion earnings across 53 countries, has helped TCS almost double its revenues every year.
