Rakesh Chopra joins EXL Service

NEW DELHI: EXL Service, one of India’s leading third party BPO service providers today announced that it has appointed Rakesh Chopra as the Country Manager for its India Operations. Chopra joins EXL from American Express where he was the Regional Vice President and General Manager, Global Service Centers-Asia. His appointment will enable EXL to extend its leadership position in the banking and financial services domain and create an organizational structure that supports the growth and strategic requirements of the business. Chopra is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the BPO industry. Having been a part of the Indian business process outsourcing industry since its inception, Chopra has held senior management positions at American Express and GE. During his 11-year tenure at GE, he has held multiple management roles, including CFO for GE Plastics, CEO of GE Capital Business Process Management Services Ltd, CFO for GE Capital India, Quality Leader for GE Capital India and Senior Vice President and Business Leader at GECIS. Chopra is a graduate of St Stephen’s College and has completed his Chartered Accountancy from UK. Announcing Chopra’s appointment as Country Manager for EXL Service India, Vikram Talwar, Vice Chairman and CEO, EXL Service, said, “Rakesh is an accomplished leader and a veteran in the Indian BPO Industry.
