Rajeev Mehtani named as Senior Vice President of Cypress
Bangalore: Cypress Semiconductor has appointed Rajeev Mehtani as Senior Vice President of India Operations. He has more than 23 years of experience in the industry. In Cypress he will be responsible for managing and growing India operations. "I am truly excited to be a part of Cypress India. Cypress is unique in that we have much more than R & D in India. A significant portion of global business management, as well as corporate and strategic marketing operations are based in India, offering an opportunity to impact the strategic direction of the company," said Mehtani. Prior to joining Cypress, Mehtani worked in NXP Semiconductors as Vice President and Country Manager of India. He has also worked for companies like NXP and Philips Semiconductors where he has held different positions over the years. Cypress is looking to intensify its sales effort in India and their broad programmable product offering is well positioned to serve the growing Indian product design market. "Rajeev brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of development and business unit management," said Paul Keswick, Executive Vice President of New Product Development at Cypress. He feels that India is an important market for future growth of Cypress.
