R&D center by IBM

MUMBAI: The Institute for Business Values, a R&D division of IBM will set up a center in India, a senior company official said. A report appearing in leading Indian newspaper The Times of India quoted IBV global research director Daniel Latimore as saying, “We are internally in discussions for setting up a center, as India along with China are two major emerging centers for banking and financial services globally.” The Times of India report said the institute already has a presence in nine countries including the U.S., Europe and China. IBV provides strategic insights and recommendations that address business challenges across industries including financial services. The report quoting Latimore said that emerging market CEOs including India, were more involved in their firm’s process of innovation and added that those who adopted business model innovation did better than the others.
