BANGALORE:Backup, recovery and archive solutions maker Quantum Corp. has appointed Redington as the national distributors for its range of storage devices.

The products are available through Redington dealerships all over the country, a press release from the company said.

The agreement with Redington reinforces Quantum’s focus on driving growth and promoting its new products throughout Asia and India. Quantum recently announced the completion of its acquisition of Certance, a privately held, global supplier of tape drives and data protection solutions. As a result of the acquisition, Quantum will be the world's largest volume supplier of both tape drives and tape automation.

“We’re confident the newly combined company will offer customers in India of all sizes an unparalleled range of backup, recovery and archive solutions – from leading tape drive and media technologies, autoloaders and libraries to disk-based backup systems” said Emil Kobylarz, managing director, Quantum, Asia Pacific. “The appointment of Redington strengthens Quantum’s channel strategy in India as we continue to expand our sales presence in the growing Indian market.
