QualCore to offer embedded software services

HYDERABAD: Qualcore Logic Ltd, a fabless semiconductor company plans to expand its Indian design team from 200 at present to 300 by next year and add embedded software services to its portfolio. Announcing the expansion plan the company aimed at supporting global clients and new customer acquisitions in the Asia-Pacific region and the Indian market. The company provides application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) that goes into chips to its clients, OualCore’s President and CEO, Mahendra Jain said. QualCore's investment in Hyderabad is designed to intensify support in the Asian region for existing worldwide customer base and India's business segments of Government, Defense and space research organizations and multinational companies (MNCs) operating in India. In addition to design services, mixed-signal and analog IP and custom chip development, the company plans to add embedded software services to its portfolio. In one year since the sales and marketing efforts were initiated, the company has bagged contracts from MNCs, Government and Defense research organizations.
