CHENNAI: Polaris Software Labs has entered into a partnership with a Germany-based IT consulting organisation Plenum AG to jointly offer a high-value and risk mitigated offshore management solution portfolio to customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This alliance leverages complimentary strengths and offers prospective customers an integrated team that can provide end-to-end services and solutions, according to Polaris. The service offerings range from IT management consulting, offshore software development and delivery, IT process consulting, management training and the comprehensive suite of banking products — Orbi One. The company said, banking, financial services and insurance organisations in key European markets such as Germany are increasingly recognising that working with Indian software companies offer tremendous advantage in terms of cost, high maturity levels in process methodologies and delivery efficiency. However, there are key challenges and issues such as understanding local regulatory implications, country-specific domain knowledge, language and cultural differences that must be addressed for achieving successful offshore-based software development.
