Phoenix Group to expand in India

Kochi: Phoenix Group Global, an investment consortium with interests in hospitality, real estate and floriculture, is planning to strengthen its footprint in India. The UAE based group is mulling an investment of Rs 1,500 (375 million) crore on a slew of projects in the hospitality and real estate sectors in the country. The Phoenix Group will set up a luxury business hotel in the IT corridor of Bangalore.
Apart from the Bangalore project, the group is planning hotel projects at Cochin, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and other Indian towns. The group is also planning two major real estate projects in Goa. The projects, which comprise villas and apartments, would come up in two plots of 150 acre and 200 acre size. The second project would have an 18-hole golf course.
