BANGALORE: "We have taken an additional space of 40,000 sq ft at ITPL in Whitefield," said chairman, president and CEO, Pharmacopeia, while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday. This move was adopted considering the available talent after the Accelrys R&D centre was set up a few months ago. The company plans to allocate global works to the India centre, especially in software for computation, simulation, and management and mining of scientific data used by biologists. "After reaching critical mass, we also plan to develop Accelrys’ platform technology and consulting services to enable enterprise-wide solutions tailored to today’s leading research organisations," said Harsha Patel, vice-president of R&D India Accelrys. In addition to the India centre, the company has two centres of excellence at San Diego and Cambridge . "These centres combine research and product development with facilities to support significant collaborative projects," said Mark J Emkjer, president, Accelrys.
