Penumalli appointed MD, Analog Devices, India

Mumbai: Analog Devices Inc., a leading high-performance semiconductors company, today announced the promotion of Dr. Reddy Penumalli to the new position of Managing Director of Analog Devices’ India. Penumalli will be responsible for Strategic Planning, Operations, Administration and Management of all ADI facilities in India. This appointment is in plan to unify the company’s two India centers located in Bangalore and Hyderabad into one integrated strategy for India. Congratulating him on his appointment, Jerry McGuire, General Manager, Convergent Processing Systems Group said, “In his new role, Penumalli will be instrumental in structuring ADI’s business in the country. We are confident that his years of valuable experience and expertise in the industry will catalyse the overall growth of our company.” Commenting on his new role, Penumalli said, “I look forward to this opportunity to further strengthen ADI’s operations in India through optimizing the efficiency between our two centers thus contributing more effectively to our global network.” With 26 years of industry experience Penumalli has been with Analog Devices for the last 19 years as part of the Corporate as well as the Research and Development organization. In this tenure, he served as Managing Director of Analog Devices’ Hyderabad Development Centre, Managing Director for Analog Devices’ India Product Development Center (IPDC) in Bangalore and was responsible for the growth of the IPDC in the areas of Chip Design (DSP and mixed signal chips), DSP software development and DSP application engineering. He has a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.
