Oracle selects Redington as Value Added Distributor for India

Bangalore: Redington India, one of India's largest IT products distributor is selected by Oracle as its national Value Added Distributor (VAD) to the market, expanding availability of its applications to the midsized companies. Through this, Redington will market, sell and implement Oracle applications and technology products through its reseller network spread across India. In the first phase, Redington will engage 300 resellers from cities including Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Lucknow, Baroda, Surat, Nasik, Kolhapur, Cochin, Ranchi and Dehradun to serve customers in industries like auto ancillaries, chemicals, consumer goods, engineering and construction, non-banking financial services, industrial manufacturing, pharma, media and entertainment, professional services including IT/ITES, real estate, retail, travel and transportation including logistics, gems and jewellery among others. Redington will market the Oracle E-Business Suite as a part of the agreement. It is a comprehensive suite of integrated, global business applications, Oracle Database and Oracle Database Options as well as Oracle Fusion Middleware. The company's resellers will gain access to resources and tools within the Oracle's online resource pool from Oracle PartnerNetwork. "Oracle's diverse product portfolio and special offerings for mid-sized business will be valuable for several customers based in India's tier 2 and tier 3 cities. As one of the largest IT distributors in India, we look for new opportunities to facilitate growth among our resellers and with Oracle," said R. Oracle has more than 500 partners in India, which includes system integrators, value added resellers, independent software vendors and platform providers. Oracle Accelerate combines Oracle Applications and Business Accelerators with industry and geography specific deployment expertise to solve business problems for the midsized companies. Oracle Business Accelerators are implementation tools, templates and industry and geography specific leading practice process flows provided to partners to reduce implementation time, complexity, cost and risk. Oracle Accelerate solutions are pre-packaged bundles developed by the company's partners, combining its applications and partner knowledge of specific industries to deliver fixed cost implementations. The cpmpany's partners in India include New Generation Consultants, Chain-sys India, KPIT Cummins, OSI Consulting, Filix Consulting, Bluestar Infotech, Sonata Software, Ledger Solution and others.
