PUNE: Oceans Connect, an international contact centre services provider based in Pune, has announced the start of a major recruit campaign to employ 200 people.

The company plans to double its current capacity by employing a total of 180 agents, 10 team leaders, eight supervisors and two voice and accent trainers over the next four weeks.

The new recruits will be acting on behalf of an international organisation to handle high volumes of inbound traffic from the UK.

Richard Coppel, chairman of Oceans Connect (India) Pvt. Ltd, said: “The recruitment programme is in-line with our growth plan for 2003. It was our intention to carefully build the foundations of a strong team and to ensure that our processes and policies were defined and tested before we expanded further.

“We are now in a strong position to expand our operations and we look forward to recruiting the wealth of talent that India has to offer.”

Tejpal Singh, general manager operations at the Pune centre, added: “In order to continue to deliver the highest quality service to our discerning customers in the UK and US, we are looking for the best in Indian talent.”
