Nucleus FY05 PAT at Rs 200 M

NEW DELHI: Nucleus Software has reported a 113.34 percent increase in profit after tax of Rs 200 million for the year ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 97 million for the previous year. Consolidated revenue stood at Rs 1.03 billion for the year, up by 28.78 against Rs 80.09 million for the previous year. The company added 18 new clients worldwide and 173 new employees during the year. Nucleus reported 96.25 percent increase in profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 to Rs 85 million against Rs 43 million for the corresponding quarter previous year. The company's consolidated revenue increased by 36.35 percent to Rs 310 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 against Rs 227 million for the corresponding quarter previous year. The company also announced that it would raise its headcount by 200 people by the end of 2005. Nucleus will continue to focus on development of its niche banking solutions. The board of directors has recommended dividend at 25 percent (Rs 2.50 per share), on enhanced capital consequent to 1:1 bonus issue made during the year.
