NEW DELHI: Mobile handset maker Nokia will host a meet for investors and analysts from various financial institutions here on August 25, to showcase India as a telecom investment destination.

The "Focus on India" event would include presentations from Nokia top management. Mobile telephony in India completes a decade this year and the event would commemorate this milestone, a Nokia statement said.

"India is already amongst the top five telecom markets in the world and is set to reach the third position in coming years. This growth will require huge investment. Nokia is organizing this event showcasing India as an investment destination," Simon Beresford, Executive Vice President of Nokia Networks, said.

Nokia has three research and development facilities as well as a manufacturing facility coming up at Chennai where it would be producing terminals and GSM infrastructure equipment.
