Newly launched Firefox 4 crosses one Million downloads

Bangalore: Mozilla's newly launched Firefox 4 has hit one million downloads. According to a twit by Mozilla, the browser has reached 1 million mark and is cruising toward 2 million. The new Firefox 4 was launched in 75 languages, making it available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. The new version was billed as six times faster than its predecessor. It comes with features like Do Not Track signal to opt-out of having online activities recorded by websites for targeted online ads or services and JetPack, a redesigned minimalist interface. Firefox 4 boasts of faster JavaScript performance and greater support for HTML5, including Google's WebM HTML5 video format. According to the company, more than 70 percent of its add-ons are now compatible with Firefox 4. It also includes an Add-On Manager that helps people discover new add-ons and manage existing ones.
