SANTA CLARA: NetScaler Inc., the application intelligent networking company, has announced it has joined the Oracle PartnerNetwork to help ensure optimized delivery and maximum protection for Oracle E-Business Suite applications at a lower total cost of network operations.

NetScaler is teaming with Oracle Corporation to demonstrate its commitment to providing uncompromised performance and security for their customers. With this announcement, NetScaler continues to build momentum for its Model for Application Intelligent Networking (MAIN), a multi-phase strategy aimed at delivering the industry's most advanced set of capabilities for secure application networking.

By becoming a member partner of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, NetScaler is better able to broaden the availability of its unique solutions and services to Oracle's customers and partners. Through the Oracle PartnerNetwork, partners have access to the Oracle9i services as well as many other Web-based resources designed to enhance their value proposition, broaden opportunities and extend reach in the marketplace.

The Oracle PartnerNetwork is a global business network of more than 12,000 companies that deliver innovative enterprise solutions based on Oracle software. Through access to Oracle's premier products, education, technical services, marketing and sales support, the Oracle PartnerNetwork provides partners with the resources they need to be successful in today's Internet economy. Oracle partners are able to offer customers leading-edge solutions backed by Oracle's position as the world's largest enterprise software company.

The NetScaler 9000 Series provides secure, high-performance and cost-effective delivery of enterprise applications through its integrated security, optimization, and switching solution, which includes SSL-based remote access (SSL VPN) capability. Key elements of NetScaler's Request Switching(TM) architecture, such as compression and TCP optimization technologies, improve the response times of a secure remote access network running Oracle E-Business Suite applications by up to 52 percent. The performance improvements were observed by measuring response times for both dynamic and static content requests sent from client PCs via remote access to application servers running Oracle E-Business Suite applications.

"NetScaler offers a strong combination of the switching, optimization, and security capabilities required to deliver enterprise applications over public and private networks," says Michael Hoch, research director, Aberdeen Group. "With NetScaler's integrated approach to secure application networking, users can receive rapid, secure access to Oracle applications and data without placing an added burden on application servers or increasing network complexity."

"NetScaler's secure application networking systems leverage our core value-add -- application intelligence via the patented Request Switching(TM) technology -- to ensure that NetScaler's customers can meet their most demanding requirements for secure application delivery without compromise," states Raj Kanaya, senior director of product strategy, NetScaler. "We are partnering with Oracle to help ensure that customers are able to leverage the NetScaler systems to provide maximum protection and business efficiencies for Oracle's E-Business Suite."
