NeST enters pact with Microvision Inc.

Kochi: Network Systems and Technologies Private Limited (NeST), a subsidiary of the US$200-million NeST group, has entered into an agreement with Microvision Inc., a global player in light scanning technologies for display and imaging products, for establishing offshore development center initially for the engineering and design and development of the company's laser bar code scanner product.
Under the agreement, the NeSt engineering team will work as an extension of the Microvision product development team in Redmond, Washington, on product enhancement and cost reduction, said a Hindu BusinessLine report.
It is claimed that Microvision is the world leader in the development of high-resolution displays and imaging systems based on the company's proprietary silicon micro-mirror technology. The NeST group employs over 2,000 people worldwide in its 25 companies and has strong presence in futuristic computer and communication technology areas such as networking, fibre optics, RF and microwave and software.
