NEW DELHI: IT trade body National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) with the help of Dutch Center for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) has announced an export development program, that would enable SMEs in the European Union to outsource BPO opportunities to India.

"The two organizations will work closely to provide BPO expertise to the European SMEs and help selected Indian IT companies to access the European markets," Nasscom said.

Nasscom president Kiran Karnik said, “We are pleased to announce our collaboration with the CBI to promote business activities between two regions. Through agreements like this, we aim to achieve the success of the IT and BPO sectors to drip down from the major industrial cities to smaller cities that will benefit the industries and economies of Europe and India.”

CBI Managing Director Ton Lansink said, “For European buyers, the CBI and Nasscom will be on hand as knowledge centers to help them formulate exactly what their outsourcing demand is and to help them find a perfectly matching partner. Indian entrepreneurs can count on us to provide maximum assistance exporting to Europe. It's a double-edged sword from which all parties will benefit.”
