NIAASC annual meet discusses issues of seniors

New York: The 20th annual conference and 11th annual general body meeting organized by the National Indo-American Association for Senior Citizens (NIAASC), discussed the topic "Essential Financial and Legal Tools for Seniors" , reports Ajay Gosh of India Tribune. The event lasted for nearly five hours and was attended by over 120 participants from the New York region. Sushil Kumar, a CPA from Trinity Tax & Financial Solutions, Paresh Shah, a financial representative from Forest Hills Financial Group, and Howard F. Angione, and attorney specializing in elder law, were the speakers at the conference, providing useful information to the participants, consisting mostly of senior citizens of Indian origin. The presentations were followed by interactive discussion which was moderated by Dr. Ashwin Pandya, Vice President of the conference. The participants were welcomed by Jose Chummar, president of the Kerala Center and M.K. Ramasubra-manian, president of NIAASC. In his opening remarks Rajeshwar Prasad, Co-founder and Executive Director of NIAASC, underlined the importance of interaction among different organizations to provide true service to the community. The conference was followed by the annual general body meeting and the meeting of the NIAASC Board of Directors.
