Motorola plans job cut

New York: Sanjay Jha, Co-Chief Executive, Motorola, has declared his plans to make more job cuts and also revamp the way devices are made. Jha has decided to focus on Google android software as the operating system for many new phones. The details of the plan will be announced when the company reports its results, says a report in Wall Street Journal. Motorola will build mid-tier devices, which account for most of its sales, around android. On the other hand, business-focused devices will be based on Microsoft Windows Mobile. Motorola will use its own platform, P2K for low-end phones. The company is also looking to outsource production of some windows Mobile phones.
