Motorola brings Charm to India

Bangalore: Motorola Mobility India has announced its new touch screen QWERTY smartphone, Motorola Charm in India. The android powered smartphone comes in a 7.1cm (2.8inch) TFT full touch display with a full QWERTY keyboard. Motorola in association with Aircel prices Charm at a Best Buy price of 13,990 (MRP: Rs 15,990). The phone has a Backtrack navigation pad situated on the back directly behind the home screen. The phone features seven home screen panels, customizable widgets of live content and live wallpapers. There are new toggle widgets with on/off shortcuts to WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth etc. The device is just 11.5mm thin with Corning's scratch-resistant Gorilla glass. It has CrystalTalkTM PLUS for enhanced audio and call quality with a second microphone for increased voice quality while filtering out background noise. "Motorola strives to excite the Indian consumer with the three-way navigation capability - touch screen, QWERTY keyboard and the Backtrack making messaging, browsing, social networking fast and easy," said Faisal Siddiqui, Country Head of India, Motorola Mobility. "Charm offers a compact design, easy handling and all the features you would expect from a smartphone. Enjoy sophistication and business functionality, effortless navigation with intuitive gestures with the Charm's large display and keyboard," he added. Other major features offered are full HTML browser, 3G/HSDPA, WiFi and Google Maps, YouTubeTM and Google Search. The device also allows quick access to thousands of apps on the Android Market and has an Adobe Flash enabled web browser. Charm offers a talk time of up to 357 minutes and standby time of up to 365 hours. It has an expandable memory up to 32GB, 2GB card included in-box. With Motorola Charm, customers can avail a 2GB microSD card in-box.
