Amitabh being one of the biggest superstars of Indian cinema has been named as the hottest celebrity vegetarian of the year 2012 by PETA. Amitabh who celebrated his 70th birthday last October with the entire Bollywood film fraternity, is most popularly known by the name given by his fans as the ‘angry young man’. But, this title was given to him for his performance in many movies which released in 1970s because of his rough and tough attitude he showed in all his movies. Nevertheless, he still deserves the same title even after crossing 70 years of age, and all thanks to him being a hardcore vegetarian from a very longtime.

But, him being a vegetarian is nothing to do with his religion or cast, but as he says, he loves vegetarian food and hopes that he gets it even if he travel abroad. He also likes eating Chinese and Italian food as well. He used to eat non-vegetarian foods at one point of time, but now he has given it up from a very long time.
