A Polio free India- January 2011

Eradication of polio from India is one of the sweetest achievements for its people. The pulse polio campaign was a successful one, when in January, 2011 no cases of polio were reported in India. India has been polio-free since two years now and is ready to receive the crucial polio eradication certificate from the World Health Organization (WHO). On the successful three-year completion, India will receive the award.

Winning the Trillion dollar economy mark- April 2007

In the year 2006-07, India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was set at a market price of 41, 00,000 crore which were converted into 1 trillion dollars on exchange rate basis. The news caught the attention of people from across the world and it was a landmark in the business front.
