Bangalore: According to the market researcher Juniper Research, mobile game revenue, which was $6 billion last year, is expected to cross $11 billion mark by 2015. The research firm also noted that there will be a shift which will occur with revenue migrating from the "traditional pay-per-download model" to in-game purchases, reports Don Reisinger of Cnet News. There will be more revenue from in-game purchases rather than from actual downloads of mobile games by 2013, as expected by Jupiner. "Discoverability remains a problem for developers and publishers on some app stores", said the research firm. Although games are available on several different mobile platforms, the combination of iPhone and App Store has set the benchmark, with developers getting a higher share of revenue.
