Microsoft India To Lose Three Top Executives; Under Presssure?

Historically, Microsoft in India has seen a talent churn every time there was change at the top.

"Microsoft is still growing in India. Globally, Microsoft is under pressure so to that extent some of it may have percolated to India. But though it is still growing, it is also possible that there is a mismatch between ambition and growth," said Asheesh Raina, principal research analyst, Gartner. When top employees leave a company at such regular intervals, the company no matter how gigantic in authority is bound to be shaken.

"Because India is a growing market, expectations are higher. The only area where growth has been flat for Microsoft is in application development tools, where other vendors are also ceding market share to open source software," he added.

Microsoft needs to find someone who will bear the burden for a few steps longer than his predecessors for the company to sink it’s feet into the Indian tech market.
