Bangalore: Nowadays, businesses are so heavily dependent on software applications that at times the whole success of a project depends on them. Consequently, these applications have to undergo a lot of strain. Evidently then, they may constrain their performance when you need the most and that is the last thing you would want. But fret not, as Micro Focus brings the solution for all your software application hitches. To meet the peak demand load testing requirements, Micro Focus has launched the SilkPerformer Cloudburst, which takes testing to the cloud. Based on Micro Focus Enterprise Cloud Service (ECS), CloudBurst expands Micro Focus' load and performance testing solution SilkPerformer out to the cloud. Testing organizations can now run large load tests and promptly detect and resolve discovered issues, thanks to CloudBurst. The testing product comes with advantages galore. CloudBurst is able to provide extensive tests ranging anywhere from one to 250,000 users at a time. It can be set up on any network. Speaking about CloudBurst, Becky Wetherill, EMEA QA Architect, Micro Focus said, "CloudBurst provides flexibility in terms of licensing, viability and pricing." Unlike traditional load testing methods, CloudBurst makes use of the cloud effectively to meet resource demands using a flexible, pay-as-you-go, consumption-based pricing model. Ashish Masand, Country General Manager, Micro Focus India, said, "Delivering industrial strength peak load testing capabilities, and high flexibility for both on premise and cloud based applications, we believe this will in turn drive smoother and higher quality software applications deployments from India. This unique testing tool comes in time to help both customer and partner organizations to take advantage of benefits of cloud technologies to drive higher ROI and business efficacies." In the course of a product development, it is necessary to ensure that the growth of the product occurs without any glitches from stage to stage. Micro Focus calls this Continuous Quality Assurance which trims down waste and unnecessary rework; thereby cutting down on time and money. The SilkPerformer CloudBurst takes ahead the concept of Continuous Quality Assurance by allowing the freedom to test from anywhere and to easily and quickly harness the resources needed to drive peak performance testing. This leads to accomplishing the product earlier in the life cycles and leveraged more often. Presently, the global testing market is in a transitional phase. Companies are moving from localized development to globalized development. "Our SilkCentral test Manager (SCtM) supports this global idea", says Masand. Micro Focus is also coming up with other cloud based initiatives, mostly in the functional and burst mode testing areas, which at present are under discussions. So look out for more new innovations in the testing arena, courtesy Micro Focus.
