MeritTrac's new center for HP in B'lore

BANGALORE: Setting off a new model, MeritTrac Services, a pioneer & leader in Competence Assessment and Pre-Recruitment Processing has recently set up a dedicated assessment center for HP-GDIC in Bangalore.
Dedicated to HP and managed by MeritTrac, the center located in HSR Layout near the Electronics City Flyover is the first of its kind in the country and will administer a suite of assessments in Spoken English, Listening Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning Skills, Mental Application & Tech Support Skills.
The center will be open seven days a week, 12 hours a day and houses a dedicated team from MeritTrac to assess individuals for specific jobs in IT/BPO arena. The assessment center will also act as a single point contact for the various vendors currently used by HP GDIC.
Formally opening the center, Pramod Fernandes, Head HR, HP-GDIC, said," We realized that there is great value in centralizing all our volume recruitment in one location within city limits making it easily accessible to the applicants of HP-GDIC. The centralized assessment also helps us in standardizing the testing processes and allows us to evaluate an applicant for multiple job openings. This way the focus shifts from elimination to one's fitment, which we believe would lead to higher conversion rates from a particular resource pool. We expect this to enable us in moving to the next level of maturity in our assessment processes and thus consolidate our leadership position as a preferred employer in the IT and Contact center space".
