Satya Nadella:

If you come across a question like who is the most creative or the most inventive executive at Microsoft, then there is only one answer- Satya Nadella. Yes, the brains behind Microsoft’s most successful business division, Servers and Tools Business (STB). Nadella is also one of the master-minds behind Windows Server 2012.

This Hyderabad born genius came to Microsoft from Sun Microsystems in 1992. From there Nadella’s growth to the helm of Microsoft happened in just a snap.

Nadella became the architect for the overall business and technical vision, strategy, operations and engineering and marketing that made over $15 billion via businesses. The Server and Tool Business platform nurtures Microsoft’s infrastructural managerial services and cloud platform that cover up some of the ground breaking products like Windows Server, SQL Server, Visual Studio, System Center and the Windows Azure Platform- Microsoft’s pinnacle in cloud technology.

But as of now, the reshuffling has put Nadella in more of better position.  According to Ballmer, Nadella will head the Cloud and Enterprise Engineering Group. This group will own data center and database software. It will also continue to be responsible for developer tools.
