Meet Netweb Technologies: The Director of India's Fastest Supercomputer, Param Yuva II

Meet Netweb Technologies:

Started in 1991, Netweb Technologies is owned and managed by technocrats. They are a team of experienced, well qualified engineers who believe in delivering customer centric solutions for HPC( Supercomputing) environment. With over 5000 customers in our portfolio and over 200 deployments in  HPC alone, the company offer a diverse range of solutions and services for clients from across the developing world.

Netweb Technologies also provides custom configured solutions for HPC (supercomputing) environments and related applications. Registering strong growth YoY over for 3 consecutive years, Netweb is today routinely called upon by those who are keen on applying HPC( High Performance Computing) application environments in their technology driven businesses particularly across Pharma, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Animation  R&D, Earth sciences like weather forecast, Ocean, Minerals, Space, Defense sectors & other Science and Technology verticals in India and other developing economies around world.

Experiences in building PARAM Yuva II:

When asked about the experiences gained after building the supercomputer, Lodha said “CDAC has been at the forefront of applying HPC and other Supercomputing technologies for quite some time now. While building India’s fastest Supercomputer Param Yuva II, CDAC had some very specific requirements.”

Some of the requirements where to make the supercomputer energy efficient, to complete the project in 3 months and to reduce the overall TCO.

“Working closely with Intel and its cutting edge Xeon processors we built the entire Supercomputer well within these limitations, delivered the Param Yuva II to CDAC within 3 months. We have used a accelerator based computing which helped us in using lesser power while still maintaining the usability to deliver half a Petaflop (500 TeraFlops) of processing power so critical to HPC applications like weather forecasting, faster mapping of natural resources and development of life saving drugs, amongst others,” said Lodha.
