Meenakshi Temple holds annual fundraiser dinner

Houston: Sri Meenakshi Temple held its annual fundraising dinner which was attended by several founding senior members of the institution and provided a nostalgic fulfillment as the program offered a well cut outcome of their efforts, reports India Herald.
The fundraiser also discussed key issues like providing facilities and service for the increasing number of visitors, introducing modern technology in its operations, attracting devotees of the second generation, meeting the requirement of the community in competitive surroundings, and incorporating cost effective methods to manage the energy demands. The theme of the function was christened Samrakshana, the Sanskrit derivative of preservation. The dazzling decorations at the Kalyana mandapam and fabulous entertainment blending with serious presentations catered to the mood of the audience. The youthful dancers trained by several dance schools presented art forms which suited the occasion.
