Bangalore: There are numerous myths related to medical science, which doesn’t have any relevance behind it. These myths don’t have any evidence to prove them right or wrong. Even then they are quite popular among the people. Here are some of the common myths which every one of us should be aware of-

Drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday

There is no scientific evidence  that  to keep yourself healthy, you should drink at least 8 glasses of water every day .This notion has been accepted worldwide and you can spot people carrying around bottles of water with them. The amount of water one needs to consume everyday depends on factors like how much water was there in the food we took, whether it is hot outside and our physical condition. Drinks such as tea, coffee, soft drinks, juices, etc may be counted towards the total of 8 glasses of water per day.
