 McObject offers eXtremeDB for Wind River's Avionics Platform
Issaquah: McObject, an Issaquah based embedded database system offers its eXtremeDB in-memory embedded database system for Wind River Systems' real-time operating system (RTOS), VxWorks 653. "McObject's eXtremeDB embedded database for the VxWorks 653 RTOS represents an important expansion of avionics software developers' available tools," said Rob Hoffman,Vice President and General Manager, Aerospace and Defense Business Unit at Wind River.

"Wind River is a long-time McObject partner. We look forward to working closely with Wind River to promote our combined solution," said Chris Mureen, Chief Operating Officer, McObject.

McObject's customers in the military and aerospace already includes Boeing, Lockheed Martin, EADS, Northrop Grumman and SAIC. The major firms in the embedded database products sphere include Oracle, Microsoft, Paradigma Software and Embedded.
