Maya's Srijan Edufair 2010 in Mumbai

Mumbai: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) organized Srijan 2010India's multi animation edufair displaying works by animation students from Mumbai. The edufair had 3000 students participating in the occasion of such creativity. The event was embellished with famous animation studios like Rhythm & Hues, Pixion, Prime Focus, Reliance Media Works and Trine entertainment. On the eve of Srijan's success Mr.Ram Warrier, Business Head MAAC said, "Srijan'edufair is organized with an objective to educate students about the ever- increasing role of technology in the 3D animation and visual effects industry. It's a platform for students to portray their talent and creative works and to interact with the industry experts. The 'Job Magnet' also gives them a chance to be able to get selected by some of the leading global studios." The event also experienced several workshops, seminars and case studies by industry professionals like Aijaz Rashid from Pixion, Yiannis Koumoutzelis from Trine Entertainment and Namita Gotephode from Rhythm and Hues. A career fair 'Job Magnet', giving opportunities to students to be interviewed by various reputed studios was also entertained. After the initial success in Delhi and Mumbai, Srijan 2010 will now be held in Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Hyderabad making it the premier animation edufair of its kind.
