The keynote address entitled “The Cost of Quality: A Silicon Design Perspective” will be given by Bobby Mitra, PhD., Managing Director of Texas Instruments. “We’re very pleased that Magma is holding a users conference in India and is sending its experts to present the latest technology developments on the Magma product roadmap. This commitment is a recognition of the fact that many cutting edge designs are being implemented in India and that India is emerging as an IC design hub. MUSIC-India provides an opportunity for India’s top designers to share their knowledge of Magma’s advanced design methodologies and solutions,” said Dr. V. Kamakoti of IIT-Chennai, chairman of MUSIC-India. In addition to user presentations, Premal Buch, general manager of Magma’s Analysis and Signoff business unit, and Kam Kittrell, general manager of Magma’s Logic Design business unit, will offer technical updates and tutorials on low-power design methodology, third-party tool correlation and RTL synthesis and prototyping. “To meet the rapidly growing demand for its products, Magma has ramped up very quickly in India. There are already many designs in India targeted for 130- and 90- nanometer process technologies that have either taped out or are currently being implemented with Magma software. We are pleased to bring MUSIC to India to better support the growing adoption of our software in this important region,” said Dr. Anand Anandkumar, Managing Director of Magma Design Automation India. Magma provides leading software for designing highly complex integrated circuits while maximizing Quality of Results with respect to area, timing and power, and at the same time reducing overall design cycles and costs. Magma provides a complete RTL-to-GDSII design flow that includes prototyping, synthesis, place & route, and signal and power integrity chip design capabilities in a single executable, offering “The Fastest Path from RTL to Silicon”.
